Artists In Residence June 2016
Pauline Bamber– Wednesday 1st of June
I was born at Bowness-on-Windermere, Cumbria and cannot recall a time when I didn’t paint or draw. The Lake District Mountains and lakes feature regularly in my work. Seven years as a Carpet Designer taught me discipline of pattern and a great deal about colour. I like to work en plien air (outdoors on location) most of the time and my sketch book is always with me. A sketch sometimes says more than the finished studio work. Most of my work is Watercolour or Pen & Wash, although the subject can dictate a different medium.
Having previously lived in Cheshire for 22 years where I had several solo exhibitions, I exhibited at the Manchester Academy of Fine Art along side the work of L S Lowry.
Now living in Church Lench I have had solo exhibition in Worcester, Malvern, Pershore and Evesham. I have been a member of Stratford Art Society for 25 years and was also a member of Worcester Art Society and North Cotswolds Art Society.
Paintings give pleasure to both the Artist and the viewer,

Tom Shepherd- Wednesday 15th of June
Tom is a full time artist painting mostly in oils and acrylics and working from his studio just outside Shipston-On-Stour.
“My paintings are a way for me to explore the wonder of the world around me. Everything from exotic wildlife and the intrigue of places and people far from home, to simply the shadows cast across a sunlit street right outside my front door. What fascinates me most is the way light brings the subject to life.”
Craig Brain – Wednesday 29th of June
Craig was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome at the age of 17, which has contributed to his creative ability. As a child he would use cardboard boxes and electronic parts to build life-size robots and space ships. Craig is a self taught artist. After picking up a paint brush a year ago, he began working in oils which belonged to his Grandfather. He has since fallen in love with Watercolour and Gouache. This is Craig’s first year as member of the Stratford Art Society and is working hard to become a professional artist.
